Drummer looking for other musicians to start a 80s/90s rock cover band. Leaning more towards the grunge/alternative/college rock of the 90s and new wave/punk of the 80s... but songs that people know. Looking for folks with similar taste in music who would like to make some money playing gigs all over the place.
Looking more for non-partier types... I'm 37 now, and would rather play events that my kids could go to over gigs at sleazy dive bars.
Example of event that would be fun: Wichita Riverfest .
Example of gig I'd rather avoid: Dive bar in small town Kansas with drunks shouting at us to play Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Experienced musician here... grew up in the Rochester, NY punk rock scene. Now living in a small town in Kansas. Yes, I'm real. Yes, I have time to play out, and I would hope you also have a flexible schedule and can travel.
My idea is to keep track of all the songs we want to play by using this playlist: s://open.spotify/playlist/2x4Lr3rlucYUVM5zVrCgVU?si=1cc1180691a7414b (with all members having the power to veto any song, in order to find ones we can all really get into. Big Morrissey/Smiths fan here, so the playlist will be Morrissey heavy, but I understand that a lot of those songs aren't too well known outside of niche audiences).
